Field Trip to Drake

Park Avenue Elementary students in grades 3 through 5 visited Drake University to “Pack the Knapp”  as the women’s basketball team met the Red Raiders of Northwestern College. The game was great fun, and the students did a wonderful job of representing the South Side! The Drake women won 102 – 58, but our favorite part of the day might just have been watching our own students Jayvien and Jayda showing Spike and Winger (from the Des Moines Buccaneers Hockey team)how to dance to the music.
