I am from Iowa and grew up in a small town, so farming has been a part of my life from the beginning. I have also worked on rainforest restoration programs, a farming project for poor women that needed extra income, and horticulture in tropical areas. Recently, I have worked with community gardens and worked on the Red Earth Gardens as a part of the Meskwaki Food Sovereignty Initiative in Tama, IA.
