School Hours Change for 2017-2018

Des Moines Public Schools will be increasing student contact minutes per day beginning in the 2017-2018 academic year. What this means at Park Avenue Elementary is a change in dismissal time, Dismissal will be pushed back ten minutes to 3:10 p.m.  Wednesday dismissal time will change to 1:40 p.m.

As in the past, class will start at 8:15 a.m. (students in their classroom by the time the 8:15 bell rings). The school doors will continue to open at 7:55 a.m.  Please do not drop children off before 7:55 a.m.
